Episode 53 – Do We Have Any Sunset Music?

Hey folks! After a year’s worth of episodes (it took us 16 months, but who’s counting?), the time has finally come to close the doors on 15 Minutes of Game. This will be our final episode of the podcast. It’s been a crazy 16 months. We’ve talked about a broad range of community focused topics, gotten sidetracked by Superheroes, and watched as several of our listeners made the transition from fan sites into the games industry itself. Thanks to everyone who’s listened to us, whether you were here at the start or just jumped in. As always, you can find Jon and Justin on Twitter should you ever need to get in touch:

Episode 51 – Fan Creation and You

In episode 50, we spent a great deal of time talking about fan creations like fan fiction, but we mostly just talked about the stuff that Justin has worked on. To that end, we’re going back to the subject of fan creations to have a real discussion about what you can, can’t, should, and shouldn’t do when you’re taking on this type of project. Give it a listen and let us know what you think (or if you’ve ever made and 15 MoG fan fiction. On second thought, nevermind. Keep that to yourself).

This time around we chat about a whole handful of topics, and start a conversation about fan-created materials, including a recent fan film written by Six Okay himself. As one might expect of our longer shows, this one veers off into a discussion about comic books, as well.

Episode 49 – Content & Community & Social Media & Manager

Today we tackle a topic from Twitter. Woah. Say that three times fast! Todays’ discussion is about some of the differences between a Content, Community, and Social Media Manager.  Weezul’s got experience in all of the above, so in this episode you’ll get to hear a lot of insights from the quietest many in CM himself. We talk about some of the areas of overlap between all three jobs, how they interact with product marketing and pr, and where each one differentiates itself.
